K-9 Unit
The Wayne State University Police Department is currently in the process of forming a K-9 Unit. Watch this section for news regarding the development of the Wayne State University Police Department K-9 Unit.
The K-9 Unit appreciates the services provided by the Wayne State University D.L.A.R. who assist in providing dogs in the unit with a balanced diet and veterinary care.
Officer Andrew Grimm and his partner Goran are now patrolling the campus of Wayne State University. Both P.O. Grimm and Goran are currently undergoing extensive training with the Detroit Police Department's K-9 unit. They are both learning a number of police and K-9 law enforcement skills. A special Wayne State University scout car has been specially outfitted to accomodate Goran and the tasks that both he and his partner Officer Grimm will be undertaking.
